Our next meal together is going to be at the 'Old Cottage' Pub, Cherry Orchard Road, Lisvane CF14 0UE – by Cefn Onn Park – on Thursday 21 September. The Old Cottage is a cosy and well loved local pub, which offers superior quality and a relaxed open atmosphere that has been well received.

This will be a lunchtime booking starting at 12.00pm - where we can take advantage of their afternoon fixed price lunch menu deal – Two courses for £12.50 or Three courses for £15.50 – and, as an experiment, I've chosen a Thursday, so friends can attend morning worship at Bethany before heading over to the pub for the lunch.

Thyme-Roasted Portobello Mushrooms – in Cropwell Bishop sauce with rustic toast (v)                    
Duck Liver & Port Parfait – with red onion chutney and toasted ciabatta bread                                    
Soup of the Day – with artisan rustic bread and butter                                                                                
Crispy Karaaga Chicken – with cucumber ribbons, mooli, grain salad and warm katsu sauce         

Main Course...

Margherita Pizza – Mozzerella, cherry tomato and basil
